Taylor Joy states that the move was extremely stressful. She refused to learn English and believed she would be able to move back to Argentina. Hill House became her school of choice after Taylor-Joy was required to switch schools. Then, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School to study ballet as well as perform in productions of the school. At the age of 16, she left school in order to pursue a full-time career in acting. Taylor-Joy had always wanted to be an actor.
