Milian was traumatized by the production in Romania where she was subject to racial discrimination and discovered that Nick Cannon cheated upon her. The performance of her was rewarded with numerous awards and nominations. The series which was a huge success aired for ten years. She has also played in the role of supporting in the movie Mothers and Daughters. She was awarded the TV Guide Award in recognition of her work on Friends in addition to the Golden Derby Award in recognition of her role in the film Cougartown.
